Tony Stark, Sorcerer Supreme

What If . . . #113 posed the questions of what if Tony Stark became the Master of Mystic Arts. As the story unfolded, he used a mystical armor to battle the Dread Dormammu, stopping his invasion of Earth from the Dark Dimension.

In this WHAT IF... parrallel universe, a drunken Stark was responsible for damaging the hands of brilliant surgeon Stephen Strange, ending his surgical career. A guilt-stricken Stark then spent years trying to cure Strange, finally travelling to Tibet where an encounter with the Ancient One convinced him that Strange's cure could only be found in mysticism. Tony then trained for months and was eventually named Earth's Sorcerer Champion. With the threat from Dormammu approaching, Stark constructed a strange armor which he used to enter the realm of Dormammu and battle him on the Astral plane.

The Sorcerer Armor, Model I, Mark I* is constructed from materials that were gathered from dimensions near and far. It is the perfect melding of science and sorcery.

Made from an ore and enchanted vishanti, the armor directly channels the Eldritch Forces that normal sorcerers must invoke by name or ritual, which means that Tony can cast spells far faster than any speaking wizard. Each system, every repulsor blast is enchanted and each enchantment is in turn backed by the armor's fusion reserves.

Magically powered, the wrist-activated armor appears with a lightning bolt. The circular chestbeam doubles as a golden medalion, The Eye of Agamotto. It can compel foes and hover on it's own. The armor has both voice-controlled and automatic functions.

The special feature on this suit:The armor's helmet computer and Heads-Up Display (HUD). Sorcerer Stark utilizes both a HUD eye-piece and full on HUD mask. Drop down menus allow Iron Man to analyze attackers, their attack methods, and choose from suggested counter spells. Other drop-downs include Find Spell, Spell Set-Up, Spell Templates and Roto Scan. This computer-aided sorcery allows Stark to practice his mystic magic at great speed, overtaking the most evil spiritual combatants.

Armaments: Repulsors, Various Beams, Shields

* Since this is a What If . . .-based armor, I am not including it within the numbering of the regular Marvel Universe armors of Tony Stark.
