...tested but untried, until Iron Man put Justin Hammer on ice, taking on his own Evader Armor in the process.

Outer Atmospheric Armor, Model XXIV, Mark I. Not satisfied with his Keeping with the nostalgic mood that clearly influenced his Model XXIII Heroes Return Armor, Stark goes retro again, building an experimental space armor whose appearance is based largely on the Silver Centurion armor, Model XII, while retaining some of the design elements of the Retro Armor. Red and silver, with large shoulder extensions, the armor is pretty fierce looking. The overall technical design follows the vein of another specialty armor. Like earlier Stealth Armors, this model is a stripped down suit that has limited functionality. In fact, Model XXIV appears to have been built strictly for outer space, it's lack of boot jets making it fairly useless for Earth use. The actual armor is thinner than previous models, trimmed to minimize the weight. A drawback to this is that the armor is more vulnerable, especially to weapons on Stark's own design level. To maintain the armor structurally, auto sealants are built-in and can restore armor integrity in the event of a breach. Unlike previous space armors this suit lacks both nuclear thrusters and regular boot jets. To get into space Iron Man first coats himself with a thin layer of experimental compression gel, a sort of fluid heat shield, and then climbs aboard a solid fuel booster rig like a space Harley that sends him into space at 7 miles per second. Instead of traditional boot jets, this suit is powered through space via experimental Compressed Gas Maneuvering Pods. These are not as powerful as oxygen fed jets, nor as fast as Iron Man's previous armors or enemies, especially at close range. Retro Burst Stabilizers located at the knees and hips help to maintain attitude control. We can assume that this suit model contains Stark's usual software and sensor equipment, although the only known scanner is a thermal heat scan. |

The special feature on this suit: In the event of circuit overload or loss of power, emergency circuits can trigger a Solar Sail. Released from a compartment on the back of the armor, the sail picks up solar winds and can be used to propel Iron Man to safety.
Armaments: Repulsors; Stealth Mode (more sneak, less weapons); Concussion Buds (little bomblets) are stored inside of compartments in both gauntlets.
